Mail from Gloria! #2

Hey! I once again received a package from my lovely friend Gloria from Reaching For Pomegranates. You can click here to see the previous package that Gloria's sent me!

Now let's get started with opening the package, shall we?

First of all; the envelope everything came in is so adorable!
And the tape; aw, I can't even!

A few weeks ago I went to an island in the north of the Netherlands called Texel. I went there on a photography project/exchange called "WE Young People See Nature". WE stands for West- East, because it's an exchange between 2 Dutch (West-European) schools and one Polish (East-European) school.

We stayed a week and I made a lot of pictures (1000+)

Texel is the biggest of a group of islands called the "Wadden-islands"

27 April is a special day in the Netherlands, it's the king's birthday, or as we call it "Kingsday" (Koningsdag)

Only this year we celebrated it a day earlier, because this year April the 27th was on a Sunday.

Usually Koningsdag is "celebrated" by going to festivals to flea markets where everyone can buy and sell whatever they want. Also, almost everybody wears orange, 'cause that's our national color.

As each year I went to the enormous flea market.

{Goals}

Lately I've been having the feeling that I wasn't living life to the fullest. I think mostly because I was afraid of what people would think, but I think that I am starting to accept that I like different things than other people do. I still want to do so many things in my life, so that's why I set up these goals for myself.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but in the Netherlands the weather has been so great! It's been so sunny and warm that I could cycle home without a jacket on.

And that might not seem like a big deal, but sun and the higher temperatures make me so happy.

I went outside a lot and took my camera with me, here are the results!
